Adult Beginner/Improver Coaching Programme

Never picked up a racket before in your life? Fancy giving it a go? Perhaps you played a bit of tennis at some point in the past and fancy brushing up your skills and taking it to a higher level? Perhaps you would like to play more like the pros do, or become confident enough to join our friendly club if you are not already a member? Why not come and join the fun here at Harrow Lawn Tennis Club where you will enjoy improving your game. Rackets are available for lessons.


During a fun packed hour and a half you will be put through your paces by Elaina, your experienced and friendly Coach. She will ensure you really benefit from the sessions, with a mixture of technical and tactical tips, coupled with a variety of drills to suit your pace. The action will then continue with a host of friendly, competitive games and match play.

A great way to get fit, make new friends, and impress your old ones!

Saturdays from 12.00 to 13.30 and Wednesdays from 10.30 to 12.00
£8.00 members, £10.00 non members

Individual, Team and Group Coaching

Ian Jones coaches our players and runs a group-coaching session for adults (Saturdays 9 a.m. - 10 a.m. in the summer and 10 a.m. - 11 a.m. in the winter).

Ian's rates are as follows:

Saturday morning adult group coaching    £7 per person

Team and Group Coaching           £8 per person for 4 people or more
Team and Group Coaching           £10 per person for 3 people
Team and Group Coaching           £15 per person for 2 people

Ian also offers personal tuition at £30 an hour

Cardio Tennis

A brilliant workout for both tennis and non-tennis players

Come and join the fun here in the outdoors at our beautiful club and get fit and fabulous for the summer! Cardio tennis is an intense invigorating workout for both tennis and non-tennis players who want to get fit fast (and improve their tennis as a by-product). All our participants have commented that they work harder than they do in the gym and that the time really flies by as it is so much fun!

This high intensity, interval type training burns between 300 and 600 calories an hour, and continues to burn calories at a higher level than normal for the next 24 hours. Improve your speed and movement around the court too. Open to members and non-members, so bring a friend! Just turn up and pay on the day, no need to book. Suitable for all fitness levels as you can control your intervals. Rackets are available to use for the session too, so encourage your non playing friends to join in as no former tennis experience is necessary.

Mondays and Friday mornings for heart pumping fun from 09.30 to 10.30

Wednesday Summer evenings April to August 19.30 to 20.30
